Dear Fifth Grade Parents,
We are already more than halfway through the third quarter. Time continues to fly by here in the fifth grade, but we still have lots of work to do!
This month in math we are focusing on dividing fractions. We also will start doing state test practice/prep. Please remind students to show all their work! In science, we are finishing up Unit 3 and will be starting unit 4 in Discovery Ed. Once we start unit 4, our next focus is on gravity. In religion, we are finishing or healing sacraments and moving on to service sacraments.
In addition to all the hard work, we must remember that March is also the beginning of the season of Lent. Ash Wednesday is March 4. Students will their ashes during the 9am mass that day. Please remind your student to live as Jesus wants us to and treat others with respect, especially during this special time. I continue to stress in the class the importance of kindness.
