Dear Fifth Grade Parents,
I hope you have been enjoying all the snow we have been hit with! It is hard to believe that the second quarter has now come and gone. Report cards go out Monday, February 7, and today starts a fresh third quarter! It is important to work very hard these next two quarters.
We have lots to learn this month! In math, students will continue to work with fractions. We will focus on improper fractions, mixed numbers and then move on to adding and subtracting. In Science, we continue to work with Unit 3: Hydrosphere and Biosphere. Our current focus is water as a natural resource. In religion, we will continue focusing on our sacraments heading into the healing sacraments.
February is a busy month! We are in the middle of Catholi School Week and have been having a great time. I am so proud of ALL the students that took part in the Science Fair. Your boards and presentations were wonderful.
