Dear Fifth Grade Parents,
The hustle and bustle of the holiday season is now here, and it is important to remain focused during this time. Although we do have a nice break at the end of the month, we have a lot we must accomplish before that time comes!
In math, students will work with larger numbers in division. Once that is done, we move on to fractions! This month in Science, we will be continuing with unit 2 and discussing organisms. We will be starting with concept 2.3: Energy Flows in Ecosystems.
As a class, we go to mass every Tuesday. The students have been doing an amazing job participating, both with reading and singing. Multiple parishoners have come up to me after mass to compliment me on the class’s behavior and participation. You have a lot to be proud of! If your child has not volunteered to read or sing yet, please encourage themto do so. Thank you so much to the parents who have attended these masses. I know the kids are very happy to see you as is Father Jacob. If anyone is free on Tuesdays, please join us for 9am mass!
The month of December is a very busy month here at St. Ann School. Here are some important dates:
Lastly, I enjoyed speaking to each of you during parent teacher conferences. You have some wonderful children, and I am so happy to be their teacher! Please remind your child that it is a new quarter now. It is important to work hard to bring up any low grades and conduct marks! Thank you for all your cooperation. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Yours truly,
Mrs. Pennacchio
